If you have a partner who is an Australian citizen or permanent resident, they may be able to sponsor you for permanent residency in Australia

The Partner Migration Program is available for Australian citizens, permanent residents to sponsor their spouse/defacto, fiancée, or same sex partner to migrate to Australia.

spouse, or de facto spouse (100/309) visa

This visa is for those who wish to stay in Australia with their partner, who must be an Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident or eligible New Zealand citizen.

If two years after you apply the relationship has continued, a permanent visa may be granted.

Your partner should be either married to you, or in a committed de facto spouse relationship. If your partner is traveling to Australia to marry to you, then please apply for the fiancé (Prospective Marriage Partner) Visa.

fiancé (prospective spouse) visa

You must be engaged to be married to an Australian citizen or permanent resident and intend to marry your fiancé in Australia.

After arrival in Australia you must marry within 9 months. The applicant and sponsor must satisfy the Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC) that the relationship is totally genuine.

same sex couples (interdependency) visa

If you are in a relationship with an Australian partner of the same sex, then you may be eligible to apply as an Interdependent Partner.
